Easy Chocolate Overnight Oats Recipe - High Protein

Easy Chocolate Overnight Oats Recipe - High Protein

Want a delicious, sweet treat that helps you hit your daily protein intake AND is super quick and easy to make?

This chocolate overnight oats recipe is perfect for an easy breakfast, mid-morning snack or a healthy dessert option (that actually tastes like a dessert).

There's no cooking involved, simply combine the ingredients and then leave them for a few hours or (preferably) overnight to set in the fridge.

Let's get started!

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 2 scoops of Daily Shake Chocolate Soufflè
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cacao powder
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup , or a few drops of liquid chocolate stevia
  • 1 1/4 cup milk or milk-alternative
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Toppings:
  • Fresh berries and sliced bananas
  • Cacao nibs
  • Unsweetened coconut flakes
  • Peanut butter
 Instructions:
  1. Add oats, chia seeds, Daily Shake Chocolate Soufflè powder and cacao powder to a bowl and mix to combine. Stir in maple syrup, milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. Cover the bowl or add to a container/jar and put the lid on.
  3. Refrigerate for at least four hours, but preferably overnight.
  4. Enjoy plain, or top with fresh berries, sliced bananas, cacao nibs or coconut flakes.

To mix it up during the week, or for a little extra goodness, you could also place a scoop of peanut butter at the bottom of the jar. Who doesn't love a gooey chocolate and peanut butter combo? Or, fill your jar/container half way with the oat mixture, place some peanut butter on top and then fill the rest of the way with the oat mixture.

Eating healthy doesn't need to be time consuming or boring, especially with recipes like this. Give it a try and see how this becomes a staple in your week.
